    More Electrical than Instrumentation - Boiler work, Controls

    Experience:

    Plant experience, loop checks, installed equipment, installed DCS equipment, equipment interfaces, some programming background a plus - Interface programming background (Very important)

    Working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems including control systems, instruments, low voltage distribution, power distribution, temporary power, electrical equipment, testing, energizing, and commissioning support

    -Foxboro experience a plus

    Working Job Description

    • Electrical Construction Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals, or objectives of project are accomplished within established time frame and budget
    • The basic function of the CM is to oversee production, audit, and control costs on all assigned construction projects
    • The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with managers and key personnel, as well as uphold AED's standards of quality and customer service
    • Continually build, develop and grow vendor, subcontractor and field personnel relationships throughout entire process to assure success of the project
    • Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, and project engineers
    • Act as liaison between local facility staff and regional team members
    • Monitor, control and report on financial performance of projects
    • Estimate, negotiate and procure vendors and materials for project to be managed, as well as pre-construction estimation
    • Able to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal staff, field staff as well as all of FSG's clients
    • Communicate project goals via weekly update meetings with key personnel
    • Communicate complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or any other stakeholders
    • Oversee participation in all aspects of job site safety and adherence to OSHA standards
    • The Construction Manager will be present on the jobsite providing construction oversight, overseeing utility work done by subcontractors
    • Provide constructability feedback during design and walk downs
    • Review Bill of Materials and assist with managing material availability
    • Develop work scope for construction bid documents and assist Project Manager in bid evaluations
    • Responsible for the coordination and oversight of all construction activities involved in a project
    • Monitor contractor(s) on safety, cost, quality and schedule performance
    • Run safety briefings with contracted construction crews
    • Initiate Scope Change requests
    • Elevate document deficiencies and Provide Planning support to the project team as requires
