- Delineate cellular connections between NMDA Receptor-mediated calcium flux and excitotoxic morbidity.
- Examine the potential of small molecules to mitigate the pathologic neurochemistry that characterizes glutamate and iron-dependent cytotoxicity.
- PhD or similar degree in biomedical sciences.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrophysiology and NMDA receptor mechanisms
- Expertise in transduction and/or viral infection methods for gene delivery in mammalian cells, and/or isolation of brain tissue and cells from mouse and/or rat models.
