Coastal Regional Centre is a residential facility in Summerville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities
This position provides nursing care to individuals in designated units responsible for maintaining the nursing needs. Responsible for maintaining acute medical issues for the facility in the absence of the Nurse Supervisor. Management of medications and procedures according to pharmacy and nursing procedure guidelines. Actively documents and participates in the rehabilitation programs of individuals. Functions as the health care coordinator of assigned units with responsibilities outlined in the Health Care Guidelines.
1.
Assists in planning and providing nursing care with responsibility for assessing nursing needs and initiating nursing intervention(s) according to all licensing and certification requirements.
2. Provides guidance and develops nursing staff to ensure quality activity, care, and treatment for all individuals.3.
Assesses needs of individuals, identifies obvious symptoms of physical or emotional illness, formulates and executes a plan of care, and evaluates outcomes.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team on integrating the nursing care plan into the Individual Support Plan (ISP).4. Competently performs clinical skills and ensures a clean and safe environment. Provides training and acts as a resource for nursing staff.
5. Performs and participates in activities as otherwise assigned by the Nurse Supervisor.

Immunization
