Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse Consultant to join our team and oversee the healthcare needs of our elderly residents.

The Registered Nurse Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of care delivery, assessing residents' health needs, developing care plans, and providing guidance and support to our caregiving staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for elderly residents upon admission and periodically thereafter.
• Develop individualized care plans based on residents' health needs, preferences, and goals, in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to caregiving staff in the implementation of care plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.
• Monitor residents' health status, including vital signs, medication management, and response to treatment interventions.
• Conduct regular rounds to assess residents' wellbeing, address any concerns or changes in condition promptly, and communicate findings to appropriate team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care, including scheduling appointments and arranging transportation.
• Educate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and selfcare techniques to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of resident assessments, care plans, interventions, and progress notes in electronic health records.
• Participate in staff training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in geriatric care, infection control, and safety practices.
• Stay abreast of current healthcare regulations, guidelines, and industry trends relevant to elderly care and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in MA and in good standing with the state board of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric or longterm care settings.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for elderly residents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Excellent leadership and problemsolving abilities, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety, respect, and excellence in care delivery.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening as required by state regulations.
