- Support oversight of Early Childhood Programs
- Assist with budget and grant management of programs
- Assist with the management of staff and make decisions according to policies
- Assist with recruitment and retention of staff
- Communication with staff and parents within programs
- Communication with other District staff
- Staff Development and performance evaluations
- Monitor daily activities and environment
- Accept responsibility for job-related tasks
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to maintain emotional control and make decisions in stressful situations
- Ability to efficiently gather information used to make sound decisions
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to labor laws
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information

- Knowledge of best practices in administration, program evaluation and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Required
- Master's Degree Prefered

- Minimum of Child Development Associate Credential if Bachelor's Degree is not in a related field
- Three (3) years of related experience Required

Position Purpose
The Assistant Director of Early Childhood provides support and strengthens the organizational culture of Bentonville Schools through oversight and support of Bentonville School's Early Childhood programs.
Essential Functions
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Executive Director of Elementary Education or Superintendent of Schools.
