    Description

    **Part time, 8-20 hours per week (preferably weeknights and Sundays)

    • Responsibilities
    • Operate a magnetic resonance imaging scanner to obtain images used by the study for Data collection.
    • Operate console and peripheral hardware using study appropriate imaging techniques.
    • Enter and monitor patient and study data. Transfer images from disk to electronic media.
    • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals set forth by the protocol and as directed by the supervisor.
    • Works under the general supervision of the MRI-designated radiologist while following study protocol. Will report to a chief technologist or manager.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Education and Experience Associate's degree in Radiology or similar field is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 4+ years experience required. Also open to candidates with 2+ years of experience.
    • Licenses and CertificationsRegistration/Certification in MRI with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Other licensing/credentials as appropriate to the state within which they are performing this function (may vary by state).
    • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication.
    • A sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of patients.
    • Attention to detail.
    • The capacity to follow a physician's instructions.
    • The ability to work with a team.
    • Valid driver's license and insurance.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.
    • Work Environment This position will take place primarily in a hospital environment.
