    MRI TECHNOLOGIST WANTED - FOR WEEKEND COVERAGE - Experienced
    MRITechnologist 8 hours every Saturday . Additional hours may be available to cover for vacations. The technologist will be expected to take Holiday call on a rotation.

    MRITechnologists looking to join a dynamic and growing hospital system. The Danbury Hospital is seeking a
    MRITechnologist for its Day/Evening shift. This role is requires weekend availability SATURDAY DAYS and willingness to cover Holidays and Call rotation.

    This is a union position that offers VERY competitive rates and offers an opportunity to supplement income while working weekends with passionate teammates.

    Candidates with ARRT certification and with 1 year of experience are urged to apply. Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of

    Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices.

    Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.


    Summary:
    Performs high quality diagnostic and accurate
    MRIprocedures to help physicians in the care of their patients.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provides optimum patient care.
    • Demonstrates knowledge and technical expertise to safely & correctly operate
      MRIequipment.
    • Performs and records # for daily QA.
    • Develops skills to practice in a safe, clinical environment.
    • Develops skills in Contrast Administration.
    • Demonstrates self direction and utilizes problem solving techniques.
    • Cross trained in another modality.
    • Maintains technical competency in the following less frequent order procedure (2 or more years experience).
    • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Credentials:

    Essential:

    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
    • Radiographer

    Education:

    Essential:

    • HS Graduate or Equivalent

    Working conditions:

    Essential:

    • Significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity
    • Significant occupational risk
    • Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
    • Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
