    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a reliable and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our team at Wilmington Health Center, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service to patients, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the practice.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
    2. Schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring accuracy in appointment details and adherence to scheduling protocols.
    3. Answer phone calls promptly and handle inquiries or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
    4. Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance-related inquiries.
    5. Collect patient information, including medical history and insurance details, accurately and confidentially.
    6. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all patient data is updated and organized. 7. Process patient payments, co-payments, and outstanding balances accurately.
    8. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and minimize wait times.
    9. Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
    10. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
    11. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
    12. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

    Qualifications:
    - Previous experience in a medical office setting or customer service role preferred.
    - Basic computer skills.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    - Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information.
    - Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
    - Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.

    Hours:

    Clinic is open every other week Tuesday - Friday from 8am-5pm. This position will require personnel to be at the office on the Monday before the clinic is open to guarantee that the week goes smoothly by prepping patient charts and making phone call sfor appointment confirmation. This is a part-time job opportunity offering 40 hours every other week.
