    The Communication and Neurodevelopment Lab at Boston University () is dedicated to studying speech, language, and reading development in an effort to promote positive outcomes for all children, especially those susceptible to communication difficulties. Our research involves an interdisciplinary approach, bridging perspectives from developmental cognitive neuroscience, speech-language pathology, and education. Our lab is proudly part of the Boston University College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. We are seeking a full-time Research Coordinator to join our expanding research team.

The college has more than 25 on-campus research facilities, clinical centers, and labs. It offers top-ranked degree programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech, language and hearing sciences, health science, athletic training, human physiology, behavior and health, and nutrition.

    The Research Coordinator (Visiting Fellow) position is a compensated member of the University community who participates in and contributes to its research programs and scholarly projects in a specified Lab. The initial appointment period will be for one year with the option to be renewed, contingent on continued availability of funding and performance.

    Essential functions:

    · Recruit and schedule research participants

    · Assist with study sessions, administer experimental tasks and contribute to neuroimaging (MRI) sessions with young children

    · Coordinate IRB processes in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and research team

    · Coordinate data organization and maintenance

    · Contribute to data processing and scoring; opportunity to assist with analysis

    Required Skills:

    · Bachelor's degree in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences/Communication Sciences and Disorders, Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or related field.

    · Previous experience working with young children from infancy to school age (e.g., in a daycare or research setting) highly desired.

    · Organized, diligent, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individual with prior research experience.

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills and willingness to learn new skills. Experience supervising, managing, and/or coordinating teams preferred but not required.

    · Comfort with a heterogeneous computing environment and some programming experience preferred; familiarity with psychological experiment software and/or MRI analysis software very helpful. Experience managing data (excel) and databases (RedCap) preferred.
