About the Job: Program Coordinator Role at UT Southwestern

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4) program at the Levi Laboratory. This role involves organizing and collaborating on TRC4-funded grants covering a spectrum of topics in basic and translational science. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, oversee data collection, grant writing updates, and overall organization. Additionally, candidates with proficiency in executing research experiments, data analysis, and various research-related tasks are preferred. Effective communication across UT system campuses, organizing meetings, notes, arrangements, and assisting scientists in travel logistics are key responsibilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of scientists and support staff at Levi Laboratory and grow as a leader.

Qualifications:

A minimum of six years of research laboratory experience, with at least three years in a supervisory role for a lab with more than six team members
Proven ability to conduct complex experiments with reliability and accuracy within tight timeframes
Experience with mouse husbandry and genetics
Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and keen attention to detail
Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Experience and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience required
Consideration for additional experience in lieu of education

Preferred Experience:

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field, with four years of relevant experience, including at least one year in the specified area of assignment
Supervisory experience is advantageous
Meet education and experience requirements for equipment and tests used in the laboratory
