Instructional Specialist Position at Panama-Buena Vista Union School District

The Board of Trustees of the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Instructional Specialist. This position entails providing leadership, staff development, and training for instructional and support personnel. The Instructional Specialist will focus on district curriculum, classroom instruction, and various district initiatives, supporting professional development, instructional infrastructure, assessment, and more.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support for staff development activities, curriculum assessments, and teaching strategies.
Assist in developing effective programs for students in special education settings.
Coordinate the selection and implementation of instructional materials and digital resources.
Monitor district benchmarks for success and convey performance results.
Support implementation of district plans, including those for English learners.
Assist in organizing district-sponsored student events.
Participate as a professional development trainer and facilitate training sessions.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and District policies in assigned programs.
Assist school sites with School Site Council coordination and compliance.
Participate in budget development and monitoring for programs and projects.
Consult and assist school sites in Title 1 parent involvement requirements.
Perform other assigned duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three-five years of educational experience as a classroom teacher.
Master's Degree in an education-related field from an accredited university.
Valid California teaching credential.
Must have a private vehicle and a valid California driver's license.
Fingerprint clearance by FBI and California DOJ required.
Willingness to adhere to District rules and regulations.

SALARY AND TERMS OF SERVICE

Annual Salary Range: $107,428 - $129,930 with additional stipends. The position requires 204 working days per year, with additional days and evenings/weekends as needed. The District offers comprehensive family dental, medical, vision insurance plans, and life insurance for employees.
