    Professional Services Engineer Job Description

    • Job Title: Senior Professional Services Engineer (P3)
    • Function/Department: Customer Adoption
    • Summary: Exciting opportunity for Senior & Principal Level Consultants to lead the implementation of Service Mesh and API Gateway solutions for customers. Seeking candidates with extensive experience in designing and implementing complex solutions in container-native environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Consultation and Requirement Analysis:
      • Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements related to solutions.
      • Organize and lead discovery sessions to propose solutions and level of effort.
      • Conduct analysis of customer environments to identify challenges and opportunities.
    • Solution Design and Architecture:
      • Propose path to success and develop detailed technical documentation.
    • Implementation and Deployment:
      • Lead deployment of solutions for customers with seamless integration.
      • Collaborate to resolve technical issues and optimize performance.
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Stay updated on cloud-native technologies and provide expert advice.
      • Enhance product documentation and collaborate with teams for improvements.
      • Write knowledge-sharing articles to contribute to industry thought leadership.
    • Enablement and Knowledge Transfer:
      • Assess skill levels and conduct sessions to enhance understanding of technologies.
      • Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure effective management of solutions.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes with hands-on experience.
    • Proficiency in various technologies including ingress controllers, service meshes, API Gateways, and more.
    • Strong programming and scripting skills for automation.
    • Experience with micro-services deployments and API management.
    • Understanding of application networking principles and security protocols.
    • Expertise in cloud environments, architectures, and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Experience and Education Required:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in implementing enterprise application architectures.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a consultant role.

    • Deep technical skill sets with a passion for learning new technologies.

    Work Environment:

    • 10-15% travel may be required for this role.
