    Description

    Terms of Employment

    • W2 Contract-to-Hire, 6 Months
    • This position is primarily remote. With that said, the hired individual must be comfortable coming onsite to Owings Mills, MD, Baltimore, MD, or Columbia, MD periodically for high-level project meetings and strategic meetings.
    • Candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, or New York. Candidates must be comfortable commuting onsite periodically at their own expense.

    Overview & Responsibilities
    Our client is seeking an IT Service Readiness Coordinator to manage coordination of projects with IT Operational Teams (systems, security, end user support, etc.) and Project Teams. The IT Service Readiness Coordinator will be responsible for providing support on two or three projects simultaneously working with IT Operational Teams to populate service readiness checklists, determining what teams are needed to be involved in the project, facilitating meetings to gather project requirements, driving projects forward by keeping teams accountable to milestones, and ultimately ensuring the service readiness portion of projects is ready for go-live. It is important to note this individual is not going to be responsible for managing the entirety of projects. The IT Service Readiness Coordinator is going to be responsible for managing the service readiness portion of IT projects predominately on the infrastructure side. The IT Service Readiness Coordinator will work closely with the IT Project Manager responsible for managing the entirety of the projects.
    Required Skills & Experience

    • 10+ years of professional experience in some blend of IT operational support, project management, and/or systems support/engineering.
    • 3+ years of project management experience in the infrastructure space.
    • Experience in IT systems to include understanding of networking, security, end user support, cloud, etc. to include strong understanding of related terminology.
    • Experience reading architectural diagram/workflows.
    • Strong ITIL knowledge and experience.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

    Preferred Skills & Experience

    • PMP certification.
    • ITIL v3 certification.
    • Service readiness experience.
    • Application development project management experience.
    • Experience using Jira for project tracking.
    • Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing.
    • Kanban and/or Scrum experience/knowledge.
