Description
Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPrimary PurposeDirect the activities involved in the efficient operation of the warehouse and delivery serviceSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides services for the prompt and accurate filling, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
Provides for the efficient receiving, marking, and stocking of merchandise; ensures the maintenance and protection of warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment.
Ensures compliance with all state and Federal labeling and shipping laws and regulations on merchandise shipped from warehouse.Maintains and controls the requisitioning of warehouse supply items and equipment.
Directs the Company's fire and safety programs for all warehouse employees according to established policy and practice.
Assists in the recruitment and hiring of warehouse personnel; ensure orientation and training in the proper methods for performing warehouse duties.
Routine Problem SolvingAssuring quality of blended products, accuracy of weight/quantity of repackaged products, accuracy and promptness of filling orders, cleanliness of warehouse and product Decision-Making Authority:
Limited to use of company equipment and compliance with all company policies, rule and guidelines. Assist with scheduling workload of others.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Train, and lead others
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Must be able to work under Company policies where experience and independent judgment are needed.
Should be familiar with the office paper flow, operations of each department, particular products and their handling problems, and knowledge of all departments within the warehouseRequirementsKnowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facilityMust be able to work with and motivate others.
Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulationsAbility to use and maintain respiratory protection equipmentAbility to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with trainingEducation/TrainingHigh School Diploma, or GED with additional schooling or equivalent business experience.
Should have 3 to 5 years of experience with the Company.Ability to read, write, count and understand and speak EnglishPhysical Demands/Environmental Conditions:
The physical ability to lift and carry at least 100 lb. net bags for short distancesThe physical ability to tilt back or break 800 lb.
net drums onto a dollyThe physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of timeTest negative on the company's drug testsExposure to fumes, dirt, noise and hazardous chemicals on a daily basis.
