Work Experience:
Minimum 2+ years relevant to role and 2-year tech degree / 6+ years relevant to role with no / non-tech degree.
Candidates with substantially more prior experience and responsibilities, may fit under a related progression roles - and are welcome to apply.
Industry:
Aero-Engine (i.e. gas turbine / turbomachinery)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Initially to facilitate Rework/Repair Traveler creation/updates in association with the production of gas turbine (aero-engine) hardware. Work to standards through point of acceptance via interaction with engineers as well as technical data systems and records. Work requires working knowledge of part prints, quality standards, and mfg processes.
Additionally, gather, compile, process, and portray Quality Engineering (technical) data that helps ensure part/process quality are achieved and sustained. Efforts support/conveyed to others.
Comfortable interacting w/ multiple computer systems / software
Have an aptitude for process-oriented work along with a mindset for doing things right, a desire to see things through, an eye for continuous improvement.
Collaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team leader, Peers
Maintain Integrity & Ethics in all situations
Generate Continuous Improvement ideas to reduce Waste and Cost of Poor Quality
Help Quest Global grow while you learn and develop your career
Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:
Relevant experience in:
Quality Management System, Part Qualification, Non-Conformance Management, and/or Continuous Improvement (Development).
Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook – intermediate user (macros, pivot tables, VB coding - noteworthy)
Entering, probing, and extracting technical data within a MRP / ERP system (SAP preferred)
Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized - with ability to focus on semi-repetitive tasks
Desired Skills / Attributes:
Familiarity with gas turbine engine workings, design, manufacturing, MRO
Operating in procedure based and regulatory controlled environments
Read Engineering prints and comprehend associated Quality Requirements
Gaging experience (manual, visual, computer based, Inspection Planning, SPC, Gage R&R, etc)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Office and/or Shop Floor Environments
Lift / Transport 25 lb (occasional)
Common activities include sitting, walking, and standing
Typically includes substantial amounts of computer work – but can also include hands-on activities (e.g. lifting, inspecting, transporting, etc)
Heavily Regulated Industry with strict adherence to procedures and standard work
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late, arriving early, OT
Ability to use personal transportation (work, customer, other)
Full time role w/ company benefits.
Typical 8-hour workdays M-F w/ unpaid lunch / accommodating shift schedule - but sensitive to customer needs.
