Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials and products.
Essential Functions

· Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
· Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.
· Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
· Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate process capability.
· Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
· Documents data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
· Drives culture and practices to solve problems.
· Uses Advanced Quality Tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, etc) to establish risk mitigation strategies that drive defect prevention.
· Interfaces with Customer counterparts and drives key project implementation (including PPAP and New Product Launch)

Experience and Education
· 3-5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
· College degree a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
