- Correspond with Liable Party/Insurance Carrier both verbally and in writing.
- Initiate investigations and research
- Negotiate Settlements
- Resolve conflicts and escalate urgent issues.
- Recover client repair costs in-house with minimal escalation to arbitration/litigation
- Review files for potential litigation.
- At least 3 years' experience in utility damage claims, debt collections, insurance claim subrogation, or litigation support with a proven track record of success.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently, manage goals and deadlines, have good attention to detail.
- Adaptability, logical thinking, and conscientiousness.
- The ability and willingness to train others.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Phoenix Loss Control ("Phoenix" or "PLC") is a business services provider in the cable, telecom, and utilities sector. PLC's core service is outside plant damage investigation, recovery, and prevention. We help our clients recover the costs of third-party damage to their infrastructure, such as underground fiber optic or gas lines. PLC currently employs over 200 people, servicing some of the largest cable and telecoms operators across the country (Comcast, Spectrum, AT&T, and Google, to name a few). Phoenix is currently aggressively expanding its business and is looking for talented and energetic people to bring onboard to help drive growth.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Claim Recovery and Litigation Review Specialist the candidate's primary goal is to maximize claim recovery in-house on escalated claims assigned to our Integrated Legal Services department. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience in insurance claims, claim litigation, debt collection or other claim management, great attention to detail, the ability to think outside the box along with strong organizational and time management skills.
