    Description

    IRIS direct end client which is one of the Global Leader in Financial Services is urgently looking to hire Kafka Admin - Atlanta, GA or Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). This is a Contract opportunity.

    Atlanta, GA or Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid/ 3 days office & 2 days work from home)

    Nature of Contract – Contract opportunity

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled Kafka Administrator with experience in managing Kafka clusters and extensive knowledge of shell scripting. The ideal candidate will also have proficiency in Python scripting. As a Kafka Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Kafka infrastructure to ensure its reliability, scalability, and performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and monitor Kafka clusters, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    • Design and implement Kafka topics, partitions, replication, and access control policies.
    • Optimize Kafka performance and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka with other systems and applications.
    • Develop automation scripts using shell scripting and Python to streamline administrative tasks.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams on Kafka best practices.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Kafka and real-time data processing.

    Qualifications:

    • 5-7 years of experience working as a Kafka Administrator in a production environment.
    • Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and monitoring.
    • Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including brokers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
    • Experience with Kafka security configurations, including SSL encryption and authentication.
    • Knowledge of Python programming for scripting and automation (preferred).
