- Monitor the plant operation
- Keep records of operation
- Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
- Report any abnormalities to plant supervisor
- Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
- Loading of outgoing treated water into the trucks
- Monitor filter press operation
- Coordinate sludge storage and movement
- Assist plant operators in collecting water samples
- Assist in maintenance of the plant on as required basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain positive attitude and good organizational skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Aquatech has an immediate need for a fulltime Water Treatment Plant Operator to work in our Sparks, NV location. The Water Treatment Plant Operator will report to the O&M Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will considered a Non Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will have good communications skills, organized, ability to interpret instructions, and an attention to detail. The candidate will have prior experience working in industrial water treatment plants.

Physical Job Demands:
Lifting / carrying / moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders and cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time. Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
