- Prepare journal entries, analyzes, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close process.
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Perform reconciliation of bank statements.
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform monthly departmental expense analysis and reporting.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Work with Accounting Manager to develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Previous experience in the entertainment industry, specifically in television production, is required for this opening.
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in accounting or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of prior corporate accounting work experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
- Previous experience supporting a multi-state employer required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while working in a fast paced environment
- Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel

This is a full-time position supporting all Accounting functions in an enterprise, multiple company organization. This particular position will support the daily operations of the television production studio. Prior experience and knowledge of studio productions is required.

The Position
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the accurate maintenance of financial records, month-end and year-end financial reporting, cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, revenue recognition, and ad hoc analysis.
