Responsibilities:

The SW Update & Diagnostics department (RD/CUU) is responsible for the conception and implementation of the Over-the-Air (OTA) update function for all Mercedes-Benz vehicles worldwide.

This includes the necessary technical functions and systems both on-board and off-board the vehicle.

The 'Remote Update Platform' team focuses on the development and operation of innovative software products for connected vehicles.

The main focus is on the technology for online management of all Mercedes-Benz cars during development, after production, and with customers worldwide.

An important function in this regard is Software Update & Configuration (Over-the-Air), including a high-performance global distribution.

To ensure optimal software rollout, we are looking for a backend application solution that, based on self-learning models, calculates the best possible update sequence for individual control units of the vehicles.

This includes considering control unit specifics, EE vehicle architectures, interoperable dependencies, and real measured update times.

You will investigate different approaches for the optimal implementation of the model, prototype them, and coordinate the target implementation with our internal IT.
