Description
The BBC Informatics and Projects Coordinator, in collaboration with BBC Leadership, is accountable for maintaining professional standards and evidence based practice to affect optimal patient outcomes and improve continuity and quality of care.
This position oversees perinatal informatics and education of staff to accomplish organizational and department goals.This role serves as the department liaison to billing, finance, registration and quality in matters related to clinical informatics and documentation.
Employment Type:
Part Time Days, 48 hours every 2 weeks
Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, varied days
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program required, Current Michigan RN License required, Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider required, Two years Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
Education and Program Design and Delivery Investigates assigned initiatives identified within the strategic planning process.
Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate outcomes in the development of programs and services.
Works closely with members of the Quality Department and Nursing Leadership teams to develop, implement, and analyze multidisciplinary and nursing quality improvement initiatives.
Policies, Procedures, Order Sets, Documentation
Coordinates the development and revision of policies, procedures, order sets, documentation for the unit/department and for those related projects/programs where appropriate.
Communication and Collaboration
Communicates and collaborates with other members of the health care team and departments in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
Leader/Change Agent
Strives for congruence between educational activities and institutional mission and goals.
Assumes responsibility of educational experience, supporting the goals and effectiveness of overall education program.
Models behaviors that demonstrate the value and importance of continuing personal and professional growth.
Identifies and initiates needed change, and helps others to adopt change and adapt to change in health care environment including new policies and procedures.
Develops new competencies and learning opportunities to teach/inform staff about needed changes.Helps staff solve problems as they implement changes.
