- This position will conduct independent research using both rodent models and invitro cell models to explore the pathogenesis of alcohol-related organ injury, including designing and implementing research protocols, collecting and analyzing research data, and adapting new procedures, methods, or instrumentation relative to research procedures.
- This position will manage and maintain mouse colonies, including breeding, genotyping, keeping census, and providing mice as needed for experiments.
- This position will present research findings at scientific meetings and prepare manuscripts for publications based on the research findings.

Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
CTBR, located at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis, NC, conducts basic and translational research related to human diseases, with a focus on the development of novel intervention strategies for disease prevention and treatment.
This position is expected to perform research in the area of alcohol-related organ injury.
The research projects aim at understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of alcohol-induced pathogenesis at the gut-liver axis and exploring preventive and/or therapeutic interventions.
Data generated from the projects will be used to support external funding applications.Minimum Qualifications
