    Job Opportunity: Billing Specialist

    Position: Billing Specialist
    Location: Grand Rapids, MI
    Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    Work Arrangement: Hybrid after Training

    Responsibilities:

    1. Manage Client Billing Cycle:
      • Handle client/matter intake, time-entry, and preparation of pre-bills and final invoices.
      • Conduct electronic billing
      • Coordinate special billing arrangements and generate reports.
      • Perform extensive manual data entry
    2. Maintain Client Database and Accounting Software:
      • Manage the client database and accounting software.
      • Assist in implementing annual accounting software upgrades and enhancements.
      • Provide training to new users.
    3. Email Box Maintenance
    4. Assist with Cash App and Credit Card Processing

    Qualifications:

    Must Have:

    • Minimum 1 year of billing experience, preferably in a legal environment.
    • Tech-savvy with the ability to manage high-volume workloads.
    • Proficiency in manual data entry, accounting/time and billing software, web-based research, and MS Office suite.
    • Background in law or professional services (e.g., public accounting, consulting, engineering).

    Plus:

    • Experience with Legal Management Systems (LMS).
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of GAAP principles.
