    Delta Air Lines Operations & Customer Center (OCC) is seeking qualified co-op students, available for a minimum of 3 alternating work terms (Fall, 2024, Summer, 2025 and Spring,

    OCC Co-Ops will be assigned to one of the teams that support Deltas 24/7 operation. The OCC is the heartbeat and nerve center of Deltas world-wide operations and is responsible for all tactical and strategic decision-making for any operational disruption in our worldwide network. Co-ops will work with aviation professionals, supporting our teams by using data to solve operational business challenges.

    A Co-Op will be assigned to one of the following teams:

    + Load Control Center This OCC Co-Op will be assigned to our Load Control Center (LCC), which is responsible for aircraft weight and balance, fuel distribution, and ensuring compliance to manufacturer and company specifications. This Co-Op will work with the LCCs back office, creating applications and efficiencies to reduce workload for the frontline team.

    + Fuel Strategy This OCC Co-Op will be assigned to our Fuel Strategy team, which is responsible for developing strategy, tools, and sustainability policy for $14 billion in annual jet fuel consumed by the airline. This Co-Op will investigate and develop methods to determine safe and economical fuel loads, improve aircraft routing, and enhance payload forecasting.

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    + Undergraduate students in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management or similar 4-year degree program

    + Must be available to work for three alternating semesters in Atlanta, GA, Monday through Friday 8AM 5PM work schedule

    + Must be enrolled with educational institution throughout duration of co-op program

    + Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required - be willing try new things and fail, learn from each experience and improve

    + Willingness to brainstorm with and leverage expertise of other team members, maintaining a team-first attitude with success of your team as top priority

    + Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint

    + Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings

    + Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority

    + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

    + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

    + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

    + Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with some of the following: SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + Familiarly with airline operations, scheduling and planning

    + Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations

    + Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving Deltas customers
