The Hibbing Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time StaffLEAD Physician.
CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System provide care to Veterans near their home town and serve over 18,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
Seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider with administrative and supervisory experience for a position as Medical Lead is sought for a VA clinic in Hibbing and Ely, Minnesota part of the Minneapolis, MN VA health care system.
Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Hibbing and Ely rural areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist.
Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic.
Take time with your patients. Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutesProviders will perform outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients.
An assigned panel of patients is determined by the VHA PCMM software package which is specific to their practice and setting.
Focus on care include the chronic disease initiative areas of CHF, COPD and DM, mental health collaboration in the PC setting, MOVE program focusing on weight loss, diet and activity as well as health promotion/disease management.
The Medical Lead of Hibbing, MN CBOC will recruit providers, oversee clinical operations, supervise all physicians, PA's, and NP's, and otherwise administer the clinic in collaboration with Hibbing Nurse Manager.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment):This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. To participate in the program, you must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA Policy 1021 and submit your application within four months of appointment. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance:
Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement
