    Description

    Position Summary:

    Artcobell has an exciting position for a Manufacturing Intern. We are seeking an Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow to grow and learn within a Manufacturing environment. You will work closely with the engineering team to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost for our manufacturing operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Intern will drive to completion at least two projects which can include data analysis or operations process improvement
    • Apply engineering principals into practice by developing process flows, layouts and product designs
    • Evaluate process to improve cycle times, pass rate, bottlenecks, efficiency, throughput and employee engagement
    • Identify and help execute 5S opportunities
    • Develop standard work
    • Process capacity analysis
    • Minor design work for fixtures, workstations, and production tools
    • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools (i.e., Root Cause Analysis, Value-Stream Mapping, participate on Kaizen Events, Gemba Walks, etc.) and make recommendation(s) based upon analysis to further business goals
    • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives across facility operations to maximize the effectiveness of resources, processes, and technology to drive sustainable results
    • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements

    Qualifications:
    • Enrolled in a 4-year accredited university in the field of engineering with focus on manufacturing and process improvement
    • Skilled with data analysis, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Solidworks
    • GPA 3.0 or above
    • Ability to work at least 30 hours per week
    • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, team collaboration, and the ability to work with all levels of management, clients and vendors
    • Must be self-driven and able to complete tasks without specific direction
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical skills
