Manufacturing Engineer - $65k per year
In this exciting role, your passion for woodworking and a strong appreciation for high-quality craftsmanship will be key to optimizing our client's manufacturing processes.
You'll leverage your engineering expertise and woodworking knowledge to ensure efficient production of top-quality furniture.
This hands-on role will see you working directly on the factory floor, collaborating with production associates and managers to identify and implement improvements.
Responsibilities:
Program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC woodshop machinery, ensuring smooth operation and efficient production.
Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and optimize production cell designs.
Plan, execute, and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and objectives.
Develop and deliver training programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge to implement Lean concepts.
Investigate and resolve production issues through root cause analysis, implementing sustainable solutions to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field - 1 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment- open to internships from manufacturing experience only- Seeking someone with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and MRP systems
Hands-on problem-solving skills and a mechanical aptitude
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Transferable Skills:
While the ideal candidate will have direct experience in wood furniture manufacturing, we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills from other industries, such as:
Industrial Engineers with a background in efficiency and process improvement.
Manufacturing Technicians with strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.
