    Description

    Administrative Nurse Coordinator

    Job Summary:

    • The Administrative Nursing Coordinator coordinates the delivery of nursing services throughout the hospital on the evening and night shifts.
    • Primary authority and responsibility for ensuring defined standards of nursing practice and patient care on evening and night shifts.
    • Knowledge of management theory, labor relations, and hospital policies.
    • Effective communication, interpersonal, interviewing, and problem-solving skills.
    • Promotes career development of employees.
    • Timely communication of organizational information to staff.
    • Empowers employees to take necessary action.
    • Continuous learning to expand and maintain skills.
    • Responsible for ensuring adherence to standards in patient care.
    • Builds positive relationships within the team.
    • Anticipates and resolves conflicts constructively.
    • Timely response to communications.
    • Resolves problems through established channels.
    • Encourages feedback to enhance team relations.
    • Reports patient safety and other pertinent issues promptly.
    • Establishes and monitors customer service improvement goals.

      • Skills:

      Required Skills & Experience:

      • Minimum of two (2) years' leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
      • Proficient in Excel and Word.
      • Knowledge of methods for CQI and Root Cause Analysis.

      Education:

      Required Education:

      • Bachelor's degree - Graduate of accredited nursing school (BSN) required.

      Preferred Education:

      • Master's degree in Nursing preferred.

      Required Certifications & Licensure:

      • Current NY State RN License.
      • Basic Life Support (BLS).
      • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
      • Certified in area of Specialty.

      Schedule Notes:

      • NIGHTS 8P-30A - 3 DAYS PER WEEK REQUIRED - EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED - NO RTO
