    Job Description Summary

    Sustainability and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) are key focus areas for GE Aerospace. We are in search of a leader to help drive GE Aerospace and the industry towards a more sustainable future in aviation. The ideal team member will concentrate on supporting activities related to integrating SAF into operations, testing, and product development. Additionally, they will assist with issues concerning conventional fuels in aviation, ground, and marine applications, including fuel-related engine problem-solving, standards, fuel additives, and engine technology advancements. The role involves providing expertise and guidance to internal programs, customer teams, research groups, external initiatives, and industry fuels committees.

    Job Description

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to fuel and fuel additive approval processes.
    • Support the development and upkeep of internal and industry fuel standards.
    • Aid in the execution of airline fuel demonstration activities.
    • Assist in investigating fuel-related engine field issues.
    • Offer fuel-related technical expertise and guidance internally and externally.
    • Represent GE Aerospace in committees and various platforms as necessary.
    • Develop and deliver internal and external fuel training sessions when required.
    • Develop specialized knowledge in the field.
    • Utilize judgment to make decisions in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
    • May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
    • Develop persuasion skills to influence others on field-related topics.

    Basic Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
    • Demonstrated 5+ years of industrial experience in testing and evaluation.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

    This role involves access to U.S. export-controlled information, and final offers are subject to authorization verification.
