    Description


    Data Center Power/Cooling ArchitectIf interested and meet the necessary requirements please e-mail your most up to date resume in a WORD document to Lindy Heim at [email protected]Overview:While knowledge of power and cooling of the building itself is useful, we are looking more for someone who can optimize how we power and cool our infrastructure in the racks in the data center.

    For example, what are best methods and designs for providing power and/or cooling to the rack. The candidate needs to be self-motivated, driven and able to communicate well both verbally and through PPT. This person does not need to be an operations-centric person.

    This role is for someone to assess our current state, look forward, and then take the real-time data we have to make modifications for future designs.


    Responsibilities:


    o Work with infrastructure engineers to develop power standards (input power, power per rack, etc.) for our rack in our production data centerso Evaluate power usage across our data centers for ways to optimize usage and/or reduce costso Work with infrastructure engineers and Facilities to provide optimized cooling (inlet temperature, containment temperature, etc.)


    to support the infrastructure in the rackso As infrastructure power increases, evaluate new power and cooling technologies to enable more infrastructure capacityo Develop a roadmap to align with our infrastructure deployment plans with changes in technology and new product releaseso Evaluate real time data to revise power/cooling recommendations and make updatesRequirements:

    o Experience architecting or designing the delivery of power to racks and serverso Experience budgeting rack powero Experience architecting or designing a cooling solution for a racko Experience working in a Data Centero Experience with liquid cooling is a plusLocation: Hybrid position in either Austin, TX, Round Rock, TX or Durham, NC - candidate must work onsite at one of these locations 1-2 days a week on average.

    Some weeks could require to be onsite several days and other weeks may be onsite noneDuration: 2 years - possible extension and/or conversion but not guaranteedHours: Standard business hours, Monday-Friday
