- ·Participates in focused assessment/reassessments of patient(s) by observing, collecting, recording and reporting objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner. Reports the condition and/or change in condition of the patient(s) as well as signs and symptoms that deviate from normal health status. ·Assists in implementing the nursing plan of care within the concepts of the LPN curriculum with consideration for safety in practice; according to established prioritization of needs; documenting and communicating nursing interventions and responses of patient(s) to care. ·Assists in evaluating patient(s) responses; document and communicate evaluation data to appropriate health care team members; contributes to the modification of the nursing plan of care on the based on ongoing evaluation of the patient(s). ·Collaborates with team members by sharing relevant information; demonstrating initiative, and supporting team decisions and the work life of the department. ·Provides care consistent with the American Nurses Association's as well as the assigned clinical area's Standards of Care and Professional Performance. ·Assists in the supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel. ·Support academic mission of OU Health. ·Performs other related duties as assigned within scope of practice after demonstrating required competencies or completing requisite training.

General Description: The License Practice Nurse (LPN) performs assigned direct and indirect nursing care activities in a hospital using critical thinking in clinical problem-solving and decision-making processes relative to scope of practice, knowledge, competency, and experience. The LPN practices under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN), advance practice registered nurse (APRN), dentist, or physician in accordance with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
·LPN Degree from an Accredited Institution.
·Current Oklahoma Board of Nursing LPN License or a current multi-state compact LPN License (eNLC).
·Specific care environment certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.
Experience:
·New Grads are welcomed.
·One or more years of experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
