At our location in Cedar Point, TX, we are currently seeking a Junior Weather Presenter/Editor (m/f/d) and offer you:

  • An entry into the world of TV
  • Targeted development and training to ensure that you can competently, efficiently, and enjoyably complete your tasks

Your tasks:

  • Independent creation of weather forecasts for our clients (editorial preparation and moderation of weather podcast episodes)
  • Moderation of weather broadcasts for channels such as Sat.1, ProSieben, and kabel eins
  • Preparation and moderation of commissioned weather productions for our clients
  • Ensuring the best possible quality of our weather forecasts
  • Collaboration with teams from meteorology and editorial departments
  • Occasional weekend work or early mornings

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree in a natural science field (university diploma/master), preferably in meteorology, physics, or a related field
  • Strong interest in synoptics and recognizing synoptic connections
  • Enjoyment of data analysis and good analytical skills to understand and critically question complex and overlapping processes
  • General knowledge in meteorology, climatology, and satellite remote sensing
  • You have a confident and communicative manner. You are sensitive and polite when speaking with others, but can also assert yourself with a touch of wit and humor
  • Very good language skills in German required, good to very good English skills desirable
  • Storytelling is your strength your moderation texts are linguistically flawless, informative, easy
