    Job Title: Ground up and TI Traveling Superintendent - Retail Ground-Up Construction

    Overview: The Interior Superintendent specializing in retail ground-up construction oversees the execution of interior construction projects for retail spaces, from the ground up. This role is essential in ensuring that retail establishments are built according to specifications, safety standards, and within the allocated timeline and budget. It requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes tailored to retail environments, and the ability to coordinate various teams and subcontractors effectively.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop detailed project plans specific to retail ground-up construction. This includes establishing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation tailored to the unique requirements of retail spaces.
    2. Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of interior construction teams specialized in retail ground-up construction. This involves contractors, subcontractors, and laborers. Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure adherence to project goals and deadlines within the retail sector.
    3. Quality Assurance: Monitor work progress and quality of craftsmanship to ensure that interior construction meets industry standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements specific to retail environments.
    4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site, focusing on the unique hazards and requirements of retail ground-up construction. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or violations promptly.
    5. Materials Management: Oversee the procurement, delivery, and inventory management of materials and equipment specific to retail ground-up construction projects. Ensure that materials meet industry standards and client specifications within the retail sector.
    6. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication among internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders within the retail industry.     8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities specific to retail ground-up construction, including daily progress reports, change orders, and correspondence. Ensure that all documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible for reference and audit purposes within the retail sector.
    9. Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures and resource utilization to control costs within budgetary constraints specific to retail ground-up construction projects. Identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements without compromising quality or safety standards within the retail industry.
    10. Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with retail clients by providing excellent customer service, addressing concerns or inquiries promptly, and ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed expectations specific to retail ground-up construction.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).
    • Proven experience (X years) in interior construction management or supervision with a focus on retail ground-up construction.
    • In-depth knowledge of interior construction techniques, materials, and building codes specific to retail environments.
    • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams within the retail sector.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders within the retail industry.
    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • OSHA certification or other relevant safety training (preferred).
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards specific to retail ground-up construction projects.
