    Description
    The primary purpose of the Associate Systems Analyst position is to provide support to MD Anderson IT Engineering by managing firewalls, load balancers, remote connectivity, network access control, and conferencing solutions

    Manage remote access solutions


    Monitoring, configuration, and installation of remote access solutions such as VPN and SD-WAN to include troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.

    Follows documented change control procedures to complete all changes.

    Manage Network Access Control (NAC)

    Monitoring, configuration, and installation of network access control appliances to include troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues. Follows documented change control procedures to complete all changes.

    Manage institution firewalls

    Monitoring, configuration, and installation of network firewalls to include troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues. Follows documented change control procedures to complete all changes.

    Manage network load balancers

    Monitoring, configuration, and installation of network load balancers to include troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues. Follows documented change control procedures to complete all changes.

    Education Required:
    Bachelor's degree.


    Certification Required:
    None


    Preferred Certification:
    One or more of the following: CompTIA A+, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

    Experience Required:
    None. May substitute required education degree with additional years of related experience on a one-to-one basis.
