Director of Clinical Services
for the eastern Iowa Region
The Director of Clinical Services leads the compliance and documentation of clinical services and ensures delivery of consistent, innovative, and continually improves interdisciplinary services.
Collaborates and works with facility physical, occupational, and speech therapists to ensure adherence to the policies and procedures related to documentation and excellence in Blue Stone Therapy clinical programs.
Complete routine site visits with an average of every four to six (4-6) weeks to review, audit, and conduct analysis of clinical services data to identify adherence to current clinical policies and procedures, and reports results to management team.
Works with regional leadership and therapy staff in the effective execution of caseload development.Establishes and executes uniformity, precision, and quality recordkeeping to meet company standards across the organization.
Identifies and addresses deficits in documentation and clinical program delivery and collaborates with facility therapy management teams in the formulation of objectives for improvement ensuring all physical therapy activities fall within state and federal regulatory parameters.
Maintains oversight to ensure internal records of staff data collection, in-services, and training are complete in a timely manner. Reports and addresses areas of concern with appropriate plan of action.Develops in-services, training, and clinical programming and protocols and ensures the successful implementation and ongoing delivery.
Assists in the execution of operations objectives related to clinical performance and the maximization of facility reimbursement.
Maintains expertise in clinical knowledge, practices, and standards to coach and mentor regional leadership and therapy staff to drive clinical excellence and outcomes.
Represents Blue Stone Therapy in community activities, marketing events, seminars, and conventions.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a skilled therapy services leadership role, clinical or compliance leadership in skilled therapy services is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on clinical experience in a therapy services role.Intermediate or stronger skill level with technology and software to include Microsoft and database systems. Experience with Net Health preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to exercise professional judgment with initiative in analyzing and executing multi-faceted problem solving.
License/Certifications:
Current valid Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license to practice in appropriate state.
Travel:
Ability to travel within assigned region as needed. This position requires 60-70% travel, including local area and overnight stays.
