    Job Description:


    The Tax department is a part of the Nestlé Finance organization responsible for all tax matters affecting the US operations, and is involved in all tax compliance, important mergers and acquisitions, and business structuring decisions. We are a collaborative organization which works closely with Legal, Legislative Affairs, Treasury, Accounting, Human Resources and Business Operations. You may be asked to assist other tax professionals globally on cross-jurisdictional initiatives as well as the global tax functional leaders in Vevey, Switzerland.

    We're looking for someone who can learn, evaluate, and work hands on to develop complex processes in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work independently to spearhead new projects, while also running recurring compliance functions. A major component of this role will involve teaming with other accounting and business leaders to provide technical advice on the multistate indirect tax impact of existing and new sales models and products and services related to wholesale, retail and eCommerce business operations.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist in documenting, reviewing, and analyzing processes for necessary controls and efficiencies
    • Manage state and local indirect tax audits
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams on projects that impact sales/use tax
    • Work with Finance/Legal/IT teams to build reporting and compliance processes
    • Research tax laws and regulations and communicate analysis of risks and opportunities via technical memorandums
    • Partner with Finance, Legal and Operations to evaluate indirect tax impacts of existing and new sales models, including eCommerce/Marketplace Facilitator sales arrangements and products sold

    Job Requirements:

    • SAP experience
    • Vertex experience
    • CPA/CMI or advanced degree preferred
    • Public accounting or law firm experience
    • Strong research/technical skills
    • 7+ years of work experience in Domestic Sales/Use Tax
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
