FLSA Status: Exempt

The Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership and daily operations for the Quality Plus and GOGAS Convenience/Tobacco Stores. This position will oversee the store operations from a corporate level and will work with Regional Directors to improve and enhance all aspects of each store. This position is expected to review daily operations, over site of inventory control, analyze profit and loss statements and work directly with the Regional Directors on training and hiring initiatives. The Director of Operations will be a change agent for growth, development, and operations.

Daily operations:

Manages Inventory control
Responsible for compliance and measured through audit success
Oversee facilities and equipment upkeep and repair
Maintain company image through leadership and customer service
Direct all personnel related matters, including, but not limited to:
Recruiting
Training
Disciplinary actions
Investigations
Terminations
Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss statements
Enforcement, development, and revision of company policies and procedures as they relate to the division
Effectively resolve customer issues in a timely manner
Assist in development, implementation, and compliance with training programs at both the corporate and store level
Troubleshoot store equipment issues, including various POS systems, gas dispensers, etc.
Requirements

Requirements:

10+ years of retail operations experience is required
Multi-site management experience is required
Convenience store or related industry experience is preferred
Experience with various POS systems is preferred
Must be able to travel to store locations and be available via email/telephone at all times
Approximately60-70% of positions time will be in the field
Must be a collaborative, strategic thinker that maintains a hands on approach with a passion for achieving extraordinary operating results; both financially and through exceptional customer experiences.

Ability to influence change, work across the organization, and have a strong follow-through

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; must be a team player
Excellent time, organizational, and project management skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Must be detail oriented
Mathematical and analytical skills, including budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, variances, etc.
Must have a valid drivers license, clean MVR, and meet company fleet requirements
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, reach above head and below waist, and make repetitive motions for long and short periods of time as needed
Must be able to lift 25+ pounds
Must be able to perform any other duties assigned by Management.
