    Full-time. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm


    We are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Bilingual team player to join our very busy specialty practice in Baton Rouge as a full-time Front Desk Coordinator.

    This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our rapidly growing healthcare facility and play a pivotal role in improving patient engagement and satisfaction.


    Job Summary:

    As a non-exempt Front Desk Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact and play an essential role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

    In addition to managing front desk operations, you will also be responsible for translating and facilitating effective communication with our Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.


    The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, be a quick learner, and enjoy a fast-paced environment while staying organized.

    You must be adaptable, and understand the importance of a positive, courteous, and professional attitude in the workplace. Great attention to detail and clear communication with patients are essential.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Reception and Registration:

    • Greet, assist, and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Ensure that patients are fully prepared for appointments upon and before arrival by following standard procedures and processes.

    Bilingual Communication:

    • Serve as a point of contact for our high volume of Spanish-speaking patients.
    • Accurately translating to facilitate clear communication between patients and providers, as well as any medical documents, forms, and instructions as needed.

    Administrative Support:

    • Assist with general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the clinic while creating a positive and respectful experience for all patients.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date patient charts via telephone or computer to ensure that any outside medical records and/or necessary documentation are available at the time of the patient's visit.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with medical staff to relay information regarding patient needs and concerns.
    • Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall clinic efficiency such as answering calls to assist with any requests, confirming that exam rooms are clean and appropriately stocked, reporting any supply orders, etc.

    Customer Service:

    • Adhere to clinic policies, HIPAA, and other healthcare privacy and confidentiality protocols.
    • Address patients' concerns and requests calmly and pleasantly, using customer service principles and techniques.

    Qualifications:

    • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
    • Two or more years of experience in a healthcare, customer service, or reception setting is preferred.
    • Ability to multitask, take initiative, and keep close attention to detail within a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, or other electronic health records, is a plus.
