    General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:


    The Accounting Associate is responsible for maintaining accounting records and performing bookkeeping functions. Run query reports for the Sr. Finance & HR Officer when necessary. The position has access to highly confidential information and is expected to maintain confidentiality with both internal and external persons. The Accounting Associate reports to the Sr. Finance & HR Officer.


    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Responsible for accounts receivable and payable.
    • Proficient with ADP and process payroll.
    • Handle timesheet discrepancies or issues.
    • Prepare supporting documentation and post journal entries to Quickbook accounting software.
    • Enter invoices, bills and receipts into Quickbook software.
    • Maintain a high level of excellence maintaining accounts payable systems.
    • Compile reports required by management and other governmental agencies.
    • Compute and record charges, refunds, and adjustments.
    • Resolve billing discrepancies.
    • Become proficient with PROMISe billing.
    • Perform related duties as to specific assignments.
    • Provide service to customers by answering questions, providing information, and assuring appropriate follow-through and/or resolution.
    • Communicate with managers, supervisors, co-workers, and others, maintain confidentiality; and represent AIMED Human Services.
    • Any employee may be identified as Essential Personnel during emergency situations.
    • Non standard hours during times of annual reports.
    • Act as a key player within our team and gain a thorough understanding and knowledge of the business.
    • Assist the Sr. Finance & Human Resources Officer.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications


    • Associate degree in AR/AP.
    • 3 - 5 years experience in accounting.
    • Read and interpret documents.
    • Write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Communicate effectively with customers.
    • Calculate figures on a 10-key calculator.
    • Use computer software programs and/or applications.
    • Solve problems and deal with a variety of variables
    • Interpret a variety of instructions.
    • Apply generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Use computer software and/or program applications.
    • Use of a personal vehicle is required.
    • A valid driver's license is required.
    • Must complete and pass background checks.
