Position Details
Advertising/Posting Title Equipment Repair Technician Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution.
Provide general equipment maintenance and repair functions to the Custodial Services Department in the academic, administrative, Residential Life, Davis Center and Athletics buildings.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school diploma and one year of related work experience required.
Valid Vermont driver's license and driver's check is required to include successful completion of the University of Vermont drivers safety course in order to drive a University vehicle.
Specific physical requirements may apply based on specific job functions. Effective interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team required. General knowledge of computers and various computer programs required.Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job including the ability to climb a ladder and shoveling snow required.
Lifting up to 80lbs, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. and reaching above chest level for extended periods of time required. Ability to respond to after-hours emergency call-ins required. Ability to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value our customers required.Desirable Qualifications Anticipated Pay Range $18 to $22/hour Other Information
May be called upon to respond to after-hours emergency calls.
