To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide making the impossible happen every single day.

    Who are we looking for The Sourcing Manager, North America Transportation will be responsible for identifying sourcing opportunities and developing and leading RFP/RFIs, negotiations, and contracting with transportation providers for First, Middle, and Last Mile North America. The candidate will work closely with Operations, Compliance, Strategy, and Procurement teams to deliver efficient sourcing results.

    What you will be working on

    Develop and lead sourcing activities

    Direct RFP/RFI process while working cross-functionally with respective teams

    Provide and approve supplier selection criteria

    Resolve decision criteria and provide recommendations on supplier selection and strategy

    Prioritize sourcing activities as advised by LSP Management Director

    Lead contract negotiations, execution, and cataloging

    Subject Matter Expert for freight sourcing and supplier capabilities

    Influence through industry knowledge, expertise, and current market updates

    Adapt sourcing strategy around operational needs and industry trends

    Resolve sourcing needs and analyze supplier alternatives. Provide creative solutions to complicated situations

    Provide structured analysis of supplier industry, economics, and market trends and conditions

    Evaluate sourcing patterns and forecast trends

    Provide recommendations for adoption of standard methodologies and process improvement that will improve team performance

    Support budget goals

    Develop sourcing strategy to select and maintain suppliers that provide maximum value to the organization at the right cost

    Coordinate with LSP Compliance to supervise and influence carrier requirements and compliance

    Implement sourcing strategies to provide maximum return on investment and benefits

    Collaborate to develop savings calculations and validation methodologies for each sourcing event

    Develop and document supplier data and SLA requirements, final terms and conditions, and supplier benchmark, scorecard, and other measurements appropriately

    Partner with Strategy and Finance to report on savings/cost avoidance

    Review and recommend changes to contracts to best fit sourcing strategies and alignment to business needs

    Serve as key Point of Contact for NA Transportation sourcing activities and provide full access to strategy, policies, processes, and procedures

    Communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to team and leadership as appropriate. Actively seek support from direct and cross-functional teams and leadership

    Communicate supplier selection decisions to respective teams, impacted employees, leadership, and suppliers as appropriate

    Answer sophisticated questions related to contracts and policies

    Directly lead employees within team and indirectly own the NA Transportation and Trade team in sourcing and procurement activities and projects

    Who you will work with The Sourcing Manager will report to the Director of LSP Management, lead direct report(s), and will work cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Strategy, and Procurement teams

    Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field

    5+ years of validated experience in Transportation and Logistics

    Transportation/Freight spend, sourcing, negotiation, and contracting experience

    Excellent planning and organization skills, strong verbal and written communications skills, effective negotiating skills, and strong analytical skills

    Deep experience with Microsoft Office, Project implementation and management experience

    Travel, 15-25%
