    Description

    The Transportation Manager organizes, directs, and evaluates the overall functions, staffing, and activities of the ElderPlace Transportation and Supply Departments to ensure efficient and effective services within a managed care environment. The Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate department strategies and completion of departmental goals. Responsibilities include assisting with development and maintaining policies and procedures; oversight of Transportation operations; distribution logistics, inventory control of durable medical equipment, program assets, home supplies, and capital equipment for ElderPlace operations. Prepares and submits the yearly Ride Connection grant requests and associated budgets, and reports. This position requires travel in and outside of the Portland Service Area.

  • Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field.
  • 5 years Management level work experience that includes: Budgeting, managing staff productivity, and program management experience. 3 years of experience working in a demand/response or dial-a-ride transportation system using transportation scheduling software.
  • 2 years Experience working with a frail or elderly population.
  • Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years Experience working with durable medical equipment.
