    Description


    Akkodis is seeking two MATLAB/Simulink Model Developers for full-time, hybrid positions over the next few years on our team in the Detroit Metro area.

    In this role, you'll be responsible for validating EV and non-EV powertrain system features and functions.

    As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to develop rigorous verification methods, create automated test scripts (ECU Test), assist with test execution, and showcase results through data analysis and reporting.

    Your role will involve testing the latest hybrid engine and transmission control strategies in Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) and Software-In-Loop (SIL) environments.

    This dynamic environment presents exciting challenges as the company continues to expand its development and validation efforts using analytical methods.


    Pay Range:
    $90,000 to $120,000/yr (commensurate based on experience level)
    This role is Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home).

    MATLAB/Simulink Model Developer job responsibilities include:
    Leading software validation testing, analysis, and reporting for both production and experimental software.
    Developing comprehensive and robust verification methods (DVMs) to support software integration testing and requirement validation.
    Implementing DVMs in an automated HIL/SIL environment using ECU Test-based test scripts.
    Managing feature-specific requirements traceability matrices.
    Maintaining test scripts in GitHub.
    Resolving embedded system faults, encompassing hardware, software, and test bench functionalities.


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related field of study or a combination of education and equivalent experience.

    Engineers with coursework or projects with embedded control system development and validation, preferably in the automotive (CAN/LIN) domain.
    3+ years' experience in the Powertrain domain (EV or ICE).
    3+ years' experience with MATLAB/Simulink model development.
    3+ years of a proven understanding of software integration testing and validation strategies.
    2+ years' experience with HIL hardware and software.
    Technical writing and data presentation skills are helpful.
    Knowledge or interest in sophisticated testing methods is desirable.
    Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multi-functional global teams.
    Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent written/reading and verbal/listening communication skills to work well with a distributed team with varied strengths.
