    Civil or Environmental Staff Engineer I

    Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Civil or Environmental Engineer from the graduating class of 2024 to join our team in the Dover, Delaware Office.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist Project Managers with technical, civil and/or environmental engineering design
    • Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources:
      • water and wastewater infrastructure design
      • Stormwater management design
      • Site grading
      • Erosion and sediment control design
      • Prepare plans for agency/municipal review
      • Review of plans for compliance with agency regulations
      • Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications
      • Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
    • Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
    • Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designer
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
    • 0-2 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, land development, or civil-site engineering design
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
    • Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
    • Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs
    • EIT Preferred
    • Familiarity with ArcGIS software is preferred
    • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
