    Summary:

    In a High-Reliability Organization, the QM Coordinator,reporting to the Director of Quality, is responsible forcoordinating and acquiring data from source systems specific toclinical quality management regulatory and performance improvementmetrics using methods of audits, tracers, chronologies, root causeanalysis and rounding skill validation activities. The QMCoordinator provides expertise and support for Quality Managementfunctions, including abstracting, data aggregation and analysis,and medical record review for quality assessment. This individualwill demonstrate their expertise in quality management andperformance improvement through the coordination and maintenance ofquality clinical initiatives to support performance improvementprograms. Analyze and trends data for opportunities forimprovement/process improvement. This role is expected to applyclinical knowledge and analytical skills to assist the Director ofQM and leadership in implementing quality improvement strategiesand change with a strong focus on improving quality outcomes andresults.

    Located just minutes fromthe shores of Padre Island, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital CorpusChristi-South provides surgical and medical services for ourpatients in south Corpus Christi. Perfectly positioned to serve therapidly growing south side of Corpus Christi, CHRISTUS SpohnHospital Corpus Christi - South is licensed for 158 beds. Southoffers a full range of medical and surgical services includingpediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive careas well as advanced diagnostic and imaging. The hospital is alsohome to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which enablesrecovering mothers to remain close to their premature or specialneeds babies.

    Responsibilities:


    • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUSCompetencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader ofLeaders.

    • Communicate effectively to differentaudiences.

    • Proficient in computer skills using EXCEL,PowerPoint, MS Office, and Flowchart tools.

    •Knowledgeable of High-Reliability Principles and PDSA methodology

    Requirements:

    • Licensed Practical Nurse/ Licensed VocationalNurse Program required.
    • Associate degree innursing preferred.
    • Three years of healthcareexperience.
    • One year of qualitymanagement experience preferred.
    • CPHQ(Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality)preferred.
