As a Business Financial Analyst, reporting to the Albuquerque, NM controller, you will be a part of the ELIP Finance/Accounting team mainly supporting the Albuquerque, site.

You will be responsible to perform support activities within General Accounting, Financial Analysis, Reporting & Consolidation in line with defined strategies, policies, and procedures.

This role will work onsite in our Albuquerque, NM facility.
This position reports to

Senior Business Controller
Your responsibilities

Ensuring timely and efficient communication with controllers and the Finance/Accounting team to identify and discuss issues and suggestions for improvement
Month-end activities to include (but not limited to):

account analyses, account reconciliations, journal entry creation, posting and review, inventory analyses, balance reconciliations
Helping to prepare financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting documents and presentations
Financial compliance reporting to include monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews
Validate the accuracy of operational and financial data, business information and reports by performing reconciliations and reviews of exceptions
Take the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance while maintaining a proper audit trail and documentation for future audits and reviews
Communicating information to relevant stakeholder groups to support corrective action plans
Optimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication, and coordinating information requirements
Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information
Your background

Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 2 plus years of work experience OR High school diploma/GED with 4 plus years of work experience required
Educational major of accounting, finance or business administration strongly preferred
5 plus years of work experience in an accounting or financial analyst role required
Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including Oracle, SAP, ERP or related financial systems
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
Cost accounting experience preferred
Requires English language skills and proficiency
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
