    Our venture studio focuses on quantum science, space tech, energy, advanced manufacturing, and clean tech.
    We're looking for an Analyst to join our venture studio in New Mexico.

    As an Analyst at Roadrunner Venture Studios, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and supporting promising startup opportunities.

    You will work closely with our studio team and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence to conduct thorough market research, financial analysis, and due diligence to assess the viability and potential of new deep-tech ventures.

    In this role, your insights and recommendations will drive strategic decision-making and contribute to the success of our portfolio companies.

    The best person for this role is proactive naturally, understands how to build conviction around what to pass or pursue with the ability to communicate clearly why they have built it.

    We are looking for someone with a builder mindset who also likes to use market data and financial analysis to guide their decision making in the market about what customers to target or Intellectual Property to prioritize.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Market Research:
    Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential investment opportunities within target industries.

    Financial Analysis:
    Evaluate financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics to assess the financial health and growth potential of prospective ventures.

    Due Diligence:
    Perform rigorous due diligence on startup opportunities, including analyzing business models, conducting competitor analysis, and assessing risk factors.

    Investment Analysis:


    Assist in evaluating investment proposals and preparing investment memos, summarizing key findings, recommendations, and risks for review by the investment committee.


    Strategic Support:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights and recommendations that drive portfolio company growth and success.

    Reporting and Communication:
    Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, summarizing investment activities, portfolio performance, and market trends.

    Continuous Learning:


    Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in venture capital and startup ecosystem to inform investment strategies and decision-making.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
    2+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, private equity, or startup ecosystem.
    Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market research.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.

    Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

    Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, technology, and startups.
    Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities effectively.
