    Description

    This leading plastics manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join a high caliber team in a state-of-the-art plastics manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, particularly in the plastics industry, with a focus on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality. The Process Engineer will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting process issues, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall manufacturing performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
    • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve any process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
    • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to develop and implement measures to maintain and improve product quality standards.
    • Data Analysis: Analyze process data, identify trends, and generate insights to support decision-making and process improvements.
    • Process Development: Lead or contribute to the development of new manufacturing processes, from concept to implementation, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and efficiency.
    • Equipment Maintenance and Upgrades: Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning of manufacturing equipment and participate in equipment upgrades or modifications as needed.
    • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and changes for reference and regulatory compliance purposes.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality control, and supply chain to achieve company objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Training and Development: Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure successful implementation and adherence to standards.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience in process engineering within the plastics manufacturing industry.
    • Knowledge of plastics processing technologies, including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.
    • Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software (e.g., CAD, MATLAB, etc.).
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
    • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing innovative solutions.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different functions and levels of the organization.
