Job Description

s a LAN Analyst for the client's Americas team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
This role will work with the LAN team to provide support for all of the client's locations across the Americas.

Typical Day:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed
Respond as needed to support requests that relate to LAN development and support
Provide off-shift support for critical incidents. Team members rotate through an on-call schedule, requiring occasional off-shift and weekend support calls
Work directly, as needed, with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
Design and implement processes and process improvements to aid in development and support
Follow ITSM process and documentation for all changes
Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to plan and execute changes (i.e., firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.)
dvise business partners regarding technical questions/issues in the LAN space

Technical Skills Required:
(Required)

Computer-related or engineering-related four-year degree (or equivalent work experience)
10+ years of progressively responsible roles in the Network Engineering space
LAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration
Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches and familiarity with Cisco equipment
bility to work in a team atmosphere and collaborate with others in a positive manner

(Desired)

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Experience with automation technologies and scripting
Experience with DNA Center
Wireless knowledge and experience
Relevant work experience with medium to large companies

Soft Skills Required:

ttention to detail
Effective communication skills

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience
